HIT® Solar Cells
Panasonic’s heterojunction solar cell technology uses ultra-thin silicon layers to reduce losses, giving around 18% more power from the same space than standard mono-PERC solar cells. These slim and high-efficiency panels are ideal for fitting the most solar power into small or irregular spaces.
The reduced losses continue even at higher temperatures, with an industry-leading temperature coefficient of only -0.258% /⁰C. This gives strong performance even in hot weather, when the output from other solar panels starts to fall off.
Water Drainage System
The unique water drainage system of this panel allows rain, snowmelt or sea spray to easily drain off the panel surface, reducing water stains or soiling of the panel surface. This keeps the panel clean, allowing more consistent light through the glass to keep the power output high even after long exposure to harsh conditions.
Long Lifespan
HIT® N-type solar cells have extremely low Light Induced Degradation (LID) and are certified for zero Potential Induced Degradation (PID), reducing annual degradation for good power output over many years. These solar panels are guaranteed for 25 years of good output performance, in addition to the 25-year workmanship warranty – backed by a century-old company, 20 internal tests of durability in extreme conditions, and ratings over 3 times the industry standard. Warranty
The product is covered by a 25 year workmanship warranty provided by Panasonic. In addition, solar cells are guaranteed to produce at least 97% of nominal power in the first year after purchase and less than 0.45% degradation of nominal power each year after until 25 years after purchase, for a minimim of 86.2%.
