Here at our workshop our technicians in Lewes undertake many varied installations, including fault finding on your current system.

Leisure Battery Upgrades: we can check on the state of charge of your current battery, find and fit new ones as required in the space available.  Leisure batteries drain even when not in use.  We offer advice on looking after your battery, charging and monitoring it's health for longevity.

Lithium Battery Installations:  we can upgrade your vans electrical system and include a lithium battery which are designed to last longer, normally have a integral battery management system and connect to smart devices.

Mains charger & hook up: We install mains chargers and mains inlet to enable hook up This is the most effective way of charging your leisure battery.

Battery to Battery Charging: Installing alternator charger to allow charging when driving is a good way to charge your leisure battery.

Solar Panels:  We install solar panels with a MPPT (maximum power point tracking) to allow you to monitor the charging from solar panels.  This can be treated as a good top up charger for your leisure battery.  It's obvious but solar doesn't work at night and is less effective during the winter months!  We assist by taking measurements of your roof and find the best solar panel(s) & MPPT for your requirements and install onto all types of motorhomes and camper vans.

Battery Protect & Battery Monitoring:  To protect your battery from a Battery Protect device is the cheapest option to detect system voltage and sound an alarm to indicate charging is required.  Alternatively an installed smart shunt may be installed to enable the battery to be monitored via your smart phone or BMV display thus preventing damage and state of charging. We choose Victron monitoring solutions as they are reliable and work together well. A Cerbo GX may be used with your smart phone, or with a display named GX Touch

Mains Power: This is by far the fastest and most efficient way to charge your leisure battery.  Often called hook up, or shore power (for marine vessels), we install mains power along with the relevant mains charger for your battery charging requirements.  Inverter chargers are a more expedient addition, rather than an inverter plus a mains charger.  Having an inverter (or inverter charger) means you can employ 230V sockets and run power hungry appliances like microwaves.  We know it can get complicated and that is why we offer an installation service just contact us for a free survey of your requirements.
