Job Title: CAMPER AND MARINE TECHNICIAN

We are looking for applicants that can offer skills in electrical, woodworking, and plumbing. Consideration of one or more of these skill sets would be a requirement. Must be a team player and willing to learn and develop new skills.  If you are an experienced technician ideally having worked in the Motorhome, Campervan, or Marine industry that’s preferable.  However, if you have a strong work ethic, have strong communication skills and are proficient in power and hand tools with the ability to work as a team and independently we would like to hear from you. Applicants should be team orientated and have a willingness to learn and develop various aspects of conversions and restorations.

Skills and experience: Ideally you would have knowledge of and qualifications related to the leisure industry but this is not mandatory. A multi-skilled person would also be considered.  Either – electrical, wood-working, automotive or, plumbing, gas or a combination of skills, but the willingness to learn is the main aspect.

You should enjoy all aspects of a workshop environment, have fault-finding skills and a knowledge of electrics (12VDC and 230vac) would be an advantage. The ability to work under your own initiative and as part of a team, be detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills is a must. Also have strong communication skills to interact with clients and explain repair processes.

The role: Fitting accessories such as – awnings, TV’s, aerials, bike racks, solar panels, cameras & leisure batteries.  Service and repairs of vehicles leisure services (not base vehicle mechanics) to a very high standard. Conduct inspections to identify faults and recommend necessary repairs. To maintain clean and safe working areas. Keep accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and hours worked.

There will be everyday general workshop duties with this role to maintain the cleanliness and function of the workshop areas. At times you may be required to work away from the at marinas and on boats.  As a team we also attend selected trade shows.

We are open from Monday to Friday 0900 until 1800 and occasionally Saturdays and we allow our employees to work flexible working patterns as agreed in advance.    We are looking for part or full time members of our team.

Salary: Negotiable depending on skills and experience from 25- 30,000PA
